Crowd Control for the 21st Century

This is a three-day training program designed for law enforcement supervisors and line officers to learn the principles of crowd management, types of protests and actions, legal considerations, and responsibilities of mobile field force teams. The course also covers basic and advanced crowd control formations, mass arrests, and an overview of chemical and less lethal munitions. The training concludes with hands-on exercises that allow law enforcement officers to use their knowledge of law and policy while demonstrating their skills in a realistic setting, including baton-holding positions, mass arrest procedures, and riot control formations.

Crowd Control Instructor Course

As an instructor in the field of crowd control, it is crucial to understand the rationale behind different formations used in crowd control. Our comprehensive one-day course is designed to provide you with personalized guidance on every lecture unit and formation during the course, so that you can gain a thorough understanding of the subject matter.


By completing our course, you will receive a certification for teaching Crowd Control for the 21st Century, based on the standards established in the 3-day training. This certification will remain valid for two years, giving you the opportunity to lead with confidence in your field.

Overview of Crowd Control

A one-day course taught as part of the Basic Peace Officer Course designed to teach law enforcement recruits a basic overview of crowd management, riot control equipment, team tactics, and basic formations. Basic formations include line, wedge, encirclement, box formation, and line closed support. 

Crowd Control for Bike Units-Coming Soon


A course designed to teach bicycle units to become an integral part of the crowd control team. Training includes static formations such as forming posts and barriers. Moving formations include columns, lines, wedges, and crossbows.
Students will be taught the importance of good communication and practice to ensure their formations and maneuvers are effective.
